Keatha B’s Kitchen

Sometimes it’s about working with what you’ve got.

It’s not your forever home so you don’t want to sink a lot of money into aesthetics. I get it! But a little can go a long way when you work with what you’ve got and this kitchen proves it! Notice the beeeeautiful hardware by Stoffer Home, and gorrrrrgeous walnut countertop in the first photo that I pulled from her Pinterest board, it was a look we very well could (and did) achieve with her existing countertops for zero dollars!

Let’s Begin!

Working With Existing Finishes

Working with what you’ve got can be tricky because thinking like an interior designer isn’t the norm for most builders (at least in my experience!). Not only that, homeowners come in and change things oftentimes haphazardly and we end up with a hodgepodgey room to work with. Fortunately, this kitchen came with good bones and a more neutral color palette to work with. I even took her existing lighting into consideration.

Doesn’t the old pair well with the new?!

The Transformation!

In my opinion, we were still able to pull off the look she wanted! All it took was a bit of hardware, the right paint colors, and a dash of Minwax expresso wood stain.

Thank you Keatha for the opportunity to help bring about this beautiful kitchen transformation 🤗. Yall’s dogs and cat were great work buddies! The cat was all up in my business though. I shoulda put him to work 😼.

With ♥️,
